Football Racism – The Legacy Of Hate In Our Youth

Football is back, and racism also made its way back to football in England last weekend. If you thought the fact that crowds were not allowed into our stadia will curb incidents of racism, then you forgot that social media is there, and lockdown has rather amplified the use of social media rather than stall it.

So ugly words have been used on black football again, and this is a sad phenomenon, where each and every one of us needs to reflect on, and play our respective parts in seeing that it stops.

We won’t relent. Racism must go away. It has no place in society. It should have no place in our beloved game of football.
