You are pumped up for your big presentation after preparing very hard for it. Suddenly, you discover the projector is not working and you might be unable to present.
What do you do? This is where the skill of Adaptability comes in.
Anyone who wants to be a success at anything must have the ability to adapt quickly. You want to be ready to face the situation when it arises.
Especially in the corporate culture (as mid level executives), you should prove that you are capable of dealing with unexpected circumstances.
This is why I have the TundeTalks to coach executives.
In our Academy, we practice KTA
Knowledge, Tactics and Action.
1. Knowledge: You know who you are, who you are dealing with and what you are dealing with.
2. Tactics: Adopt the tactics/strategies necessary to adapt. In TundeTalks, we teach the various strategies you can adopt.
3. Action. Take action on the strategies. Implementation is very crucial.
The world is constantly evolving and no two things would remain same.
This means you have to develop the skill of adaptability. You don’t want to be cut off simply because you can’t fit in. So you really need to:
Adapt. Evolve. Grow.
Think about my life in the football world. I have witnessed scenarios where, in the first half of a football game, a team that is expected to perform just failed to turn up, because they did not anticipate the intensity of the other side in midfield. You go in at half time and change something, adapting to what the other team has done to unsettle your team and the second half becomes a completely different game, and your team wins!
That is adapting to unforeseen situations.
Tell you what: why not book me as your personal individual, corporate coach or speaker in your event through my Academy – The TundeTalks Mindset Academy? I mentor and coach mindset, and that includes and involves adaptability.
